To add a new user, click on Users in the sidebar, then click the red New user button:
Fill in as many fields as you can. Users must at least have an email address. Before you click Save - if you're creating a user who needs access to the control panel make sure you assign them a user group using the instructions below.
If you want a user to be able to access Craft, you must also give them permission to do that. Just creating a user won't actually allow them to do anything. For example, if you create a user account for an e-commerce customer, you wouldn't want to give them access to the control panel.
To do this, when you're creating or editing a user, click the Permissions tab. You can assign a user to a group from here. If we’ve created a website for you, we’ve usually created a user group called Site Admin who can edit everything on the website.
<aside> 💡 If you need more control over user permissions, like a group who can only edit blog articles or review form submissions, get in touch and we'll set that up for you. Permissions can be much more granular, but we like to reduce confusion by just setting up groups.

To delete a user, click on their name in the list of Users, then click on the cog icon on the right of the edit page, then select Delete...
All content in Craft is tied to a user. When you delete a user, all of their content would be deleted too. To avoid this, you will be presented with an option to assign their content to a new user when you delete them.
If you do not transfer their content to a new user, all of the content authored by that user will also be deleted.
If you want to keep the user in the site, but stop them from logging into the control panel, you can suspend their account instead.
You can do this from the same cog wheel menu while editing a user.
Suspended users will keep their entry and data, but can't login.
